Miss Witt, New Forest


Miss Witt is a multi-award winning, world-class Chocolatier, she grew up in the New Forest and her passion for patisserie started from her childhood. She creates absolutely wonderful flavour combinations and we are thrilled to be offering her beautiful chocolates in our hampers. 

A Pinch Of Salt

 

'A Pinch of Salt' is a craft curing company based on the edge of the New Forest, specialising in small-batch cured products.  Not only traditionally made, they are also all gluten and lactose free. It was set up by two friends in 2008; James, who is currently Chef Director at The Pig, and Alan Bartlett, a master butcher based in New Milton. They source their meat from farms around The New Forest. They are proud to offer an award winning range of well tailored cured meats. In our opinion it is the best charcuterie we have ever tasted.

Lyburn Cheese, Landford

 

Lyburn Farm lies on the northern edge of the New Forest straddling the river Blackwater and has been farmed by the Smales family for the last 50 years. They produce wonderful hard cheeses from their happy cows, and their neighbours make the Rosary Goat which we supply so it’s uber fresh.

Sway Butcher, Sway

 

Our number one fave for meats. This family business is currently run by 6th generation master butcher David West. They source as much as possible from local farms around Dorset and Hampshire and also make unbeatable homemade sausages and burgers for BBQ season. Extremely friendly and very supportive of the local community.

Great British Biscotti, Christchurch 

 

The Great British Biscotti Company first fired up its ovens in 2016 with the view of adding some excitement and innovation into Biscotti. They wanted to create a range of flavours including the first ever savoury Biscotti. Last year they baked over 5 million biscuits from their kitchen down the road from us in Christchurch. The Chorizo & Cheddar ones for us are stand out. 

Jenkyn Place, Farnham

 

An old friend of ours Camilla and her father Simon (along with help from his other sons Freddie & Jack when needed) run this wonderful vineyard nestled in the North Hampshire Downs near the quintessentially English village of Bentley. We loved their family ethos and sheer passion for producing wonderful sparkling wine with no compromise on quality, even if it means waiting another year until it’s perfect.

Flip and Tails, New Milton

 

Run by the lovely Mark & Tracy, Flip & Tails provide us with the freshest, and tastiest fresh seafood around. From live lobster, to dressed crab, cockles and crevettes. 

Roots & Fruits & Shallowmead Nurseries, Lymington

 

Run by Stuart & Tracy, Roots & Fruits is in the heart of Lymington and offers a fantastic range of fresh fruit, veg, juices, local eggs, and refillable stations of herbs, spices, and even washing powder. We now also stock their scotch eggs & sausage rolls at Shallowmead, Boldre Lane.

New Forest Fish and Shellfish

Locally and sustainably caught fish, using low impact methods. The father and son team - Bart & Scott are the dream team. We tend to buy Bass, Dover Sole, Plaice, and when in season - John Dory, Bream and Brill. We can also source hand dived scallops, oysters and tiger prawns. 

Pig 'N' Pickles, Totton 

 

Based on the edge of the New Forest Pig N’Pickles make the most scrummy pickles and chutneys on their small holding. Set up by Trevor Prince, their products are only made in small batches. A real treat with cheese in our opinion.

The Real Jam & Chutney Co. , Southampton

Set up by Stella and Paul in 2004, The Real Jam & Chutney Company makes preserves to recipes handed down through through three family generations. They use traditional methods to make exceptional, full flavoured preserves that take you back to your
childhood. They use as much local produce as possible and are members of Hampshire Fare.

The Garlic Farm, Isle Of Wight 

 

This brilliant farm is across the water from here on the Isle of Wight, they are pretty famous for producing the most scrumptious garlic, and garlic produce. This is where we source our Garlic Mayo from to compliment your lobster, prawns and steak.

Brook-Hill-Vineyard.png

Brook Hill Vineyard, New Forest

 

Brook Hill Vineyard is based in the north of The New Forest. It's a family run vineyard run by Ian & Amanda and they make a range of still and sparkling wines from their own hand picked grapes. Their wines have won multiple awards at the IEWA's. It's absolutely divine. 

Ferndene Farm Shop, Bashley

 

This is our lovely local farm shop, on the outskirts of Bashley. They have their own free range chickens which are the suppliers of our eggs. We love being able to support them.

The Olive Architects, Boldre / Crete

 

Simon and Jess are behind The Olive Architects - Simon's Grandfather Manolis Stefanoudakis planted their olive trees nearly a century ago, with the intention of each of his 3 sons to have a plot of land to harvest. Simon and Jess harvested the olives for the first time in Autumn of 2017 and are passionate to share their love of olive oil. We absolutely love the delicious products from The Olive Architects!

New Forest Shortbread, Burley 

 

New Forest Shortbread is homemade in Burley by Tracy Thew. She makes it all at Burley Rails Cottage which was built in 1811 as a Woodman’s Cottage. Each box has beautiful New Forest themed illustrations and some wonderful learning about the area. Absolutely scrummy too!

Pig Beer, Brockenhurst

Made on an old pig farm in the heart of the New Forest, this microbrewery was the dream of two brothers and a cousin who all have a love for good beer. The beer is so refreshing and light - we thin it's absolutely delicious and are thrilled to include their beer.

Burley Fudge 

 

Burley Fudge Shop is a lovely family run business, making fudge since 1998. Chris and Jenny Tabb are the couple behind this wonderfully quaint shop nestled in the heart of Burley. We are delighted to be including their products in our Gift Hampers - we can confirm it is absolutely delicious.

Naked Jam, Hordle, Lymington

We are thrilled to work with Jen from Naked Jam. This award winning jam is 'naked' - nothing but the natural fruit and sugar, the majority of which is all foraged by Jen herself. She has 130 acres at the Chewton Glen all of which is foraged for them by her, to then make their jams. We adore her range, bursting with seasonal flavours.

Forest Edge Roasting Co 

 

Forest Edge Roasting Co is an independent, small batch and artisan coffee roaster run by Robyn in Highcliffe. Not only do they work in a very sustainable way, they also use bio packaging, and their roastery uses solar energy.

The New Forest Tea Co, Lyndhurst

Ian, Kelly & Gracie have just launched The New Forest Tea Co - a brilliant 'leave no trace' company based in the heart of The New Forest. Their range of teas are superb and better still all of their packaging is 100% plastic free and can be home composted. They have refillable tubes to reduce waste too. A small family run business whose values align very well with ours.

The Book & Bucket Cheese Company

Peter set up The Book & Bucket Cheese Company in 2019 and has since won numerous prestigious awards for his cheese. What we love most (after the incredible taste) about thier cheese is how they work to support small farms locally. They know exactly where their sheep and cows milk comes from. They evolve their cheeses seasonally and their range is so unique. The Halloumi is the best thing we have ever tasted....
